In each community we visited, registered attendees were given queue numbers, which would then be called one by one for the doctor’s consultation. While the patients were waiting, the goal of our team was to keep them entertained by imparting knowledge about basic nutrition and hygiene.
We provided lecture about food groups and their respective nutritional benefits. In addition, we demonstrated the proper way to wash our hands and explained the importance of doing so.
As an icebreaker, we organized several games like Relay, Pinoy Henyo (Filipino Genius) and Bring Me. All the participants not only enjoyed the games that we have prepared but also developed camaraderie among each other. Their happiness doubled as we awarded tokens and prizes to the winners of the games and distributed gift packs to all the participants.
Here's hoping that the people of GenSan will go, grow and glow in Christ.
